“Soon.”
That is the one-word message New York Jets running back Breece Hall shared on his Instagram story days before the Week 7 home game against the Miami Dolphins.
So I Googled “soon,” looking for a definition.
The good old Merriam-Webster Dictionary gave me: “without undue time lapse” … “in a prompt manner.”
I do have an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree, but I’m no expert; it sounds like a return is imminent. That could be a huge boost to the Jets’ offense because Hall brings special abilities that
no one else possesses on the offensive side of the ball.
It’ll be up to Frank Reich to figure out how all of these pieces are going to work on offense. Hall looked great running the football in Week 1 (102 rushing yards), but less so over the following two weeks (less than 65 total rushing yards). While Hall has been out, Braelon Allen has stepped up to the plate in a major way.
According to SumerSports, Braelon Allen has had the second most carries in the league (41), third most rushing yards (194), the most rushing yards after contact (174), most 10+ yard runs (9), and he has forced the second most missed tackles (12) in Weeks 5 and 6.
