Real American Freestyle returns this Saturday April 18th from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, and as usual their card features more UFC stars than you can shake a stick at.
RAF08 is headlined by former UFC champions Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo, who fought in MMA back in 2024. Dvalishvili ended up ragdolling Cejudo, picking him up like a sack of potatoes and carrying him across the cage. Will he be able to do the same at RAF, considering Cejudo has an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling?
The co-main event features the return of sojourning lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, who will wrestle former WEC featherweight champion and UFC star Urijah Faber. We expect domination from Tsarukyan — and some light-hearted funny business. Unlike his contentious RAF battles with Georgio Poullas, Arman and Urijah were joking around through their press conference.
“Bro, look at my body and your body,” Tsarukyan said. “My dad is going to call me, ‘Why you take on this fat a–, you couldn’t find a better wrestler?’”
When they went to face off, Tsarukyan jokingly pinched Faber’s belly, implying he was out of shape. Faber flexed his abs in response and then mimed a takedown. It was mostly in good fun, and we currently have the Tsarukyan Freakout Potential meter at a 3 out of 10.
Even though he’s retired from MMA, Henry Cejudo was fired up for his faceoff with Merab Dvalishvili.
“10-0, you’re done!” Cejudo screamed as Merab laughed.
