Meet the Mets
The Mets failed to complete the sweep of the Tigers dropping the final game 6-2 in Detroit. Clay Holmes got the start and was decent enough but he failed to complete the fifth inning and Gregory Soto allowed his two inherited runners to score with the help of a wild pitch. The Mets did manage to pull to within one but Ryan Helsley entered and put the game out of reach. It was a disappointing finale but the team needs to shake it off when they head to Cincinnati to face the Reds.
