You gotta love pro wrestling.
The 946 crew are still running amok in WWE, and this week they decided to set their sights on Solo Sikoa. Just before he was going to make his entrance for the Money in the Bank triple threat qualifying match, he was assaulted and then kidnapped. That meant he wouldn’t be available to take on Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee.
WWE didn’t call the match off, of course. They simply replaced him with another super over wrestler who just came off a tremendous performance in
Mexico City one week ago, and opened this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw by saying he wasn’t done with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and wants another crack at it.
Penta.
Even without the title, you wouldn’t need me to tell you who won the ensuing match. I’ll do it with a phrase.
CERO MIEDO.
Penta used an exposed turnbuckle to set up Mysterio for the springboard Mexican Destroyer and scored the pinfall before Lee could get in to break it up. His path back to Reigns, and possibly his first major WWE title win, may have just been laid out before us.
No update on Solo Sikoa, though.
