The Buffalo Bills have some good news to report ahead of their Divisional Round playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday, January 17. One Bills Drive will officially open the 21-day practice windows for defensive tackle Ed Oliver and wide receiver Curtis Samuel.
Both Oliver and Samuel have been on Injured Reserve (IR) following ailments that required extra time away from the field. Oliver has been on IR since October 28, the point at which he suffered a torn biceps. While recovering from that injury,
Oliver sustained a meniscus injury that required a medical procedure, as reported by ESPN Bills reporter Alaina Getzenberg on December 31.
Samuel was placed on IR November 28 due to neck and elbow injuries. Should Samuel be able to return to action with Buffalo, it would greatly benefit a wide receivers room that continues to lose players to injury. Wide receiver Joshua Palmer was placed on IR ahead of last Sunday’s playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, thanks to a nagging ankle injury. Additionally, wide receiver Gabe Davis suffered an ACL tear in action against the Jaguars.
The Bills’ first official injury report will be available on Tuesday, January 13.
