After breaking a tie atop the NFC West Division and securing first place last Sunday, the 8-2 Los Angeles Rams host another division leader. This week on November 23, it’s the 6-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
currently atop the NFC South. The SoFi Stadium kickoff, in front of a Sunday Night Football national audience, is set for 5:15 p.m PST.
The Rams/Bucs series started in 1977 and has covered 29 games, with the Rams leading 19-10. The slate in the Sean McVay years is 3-2 in favor of L.A. Tampa Bay won the last meeting 16-13 in 2022. The Buccaneers come west in 2025 having lost two straight, while the Rams are riding high on a five-game win streak.
The injury reports for both teams reveal the wear-and-tear associated with Week 11 of the NFL season.
While the Rams report only lists wide receiver (WR) Xavier Smith as questionable with a concussion, L.A. did put three starters on the Injured Reserve List earlier in the week. Tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle), right tackle Rob Havenstein (ankle), and safety Quentin Lake (elbow) will all miss a minimum of four weeks. They join two other previously injured starters, WR Tutu Atwell (hamstring) and cornerback (CB) Ahkello Witherspoon (clavicle).
For the Bucs, an illness blew through the training facility and a handful of players missed practice because of it. Ruled out for this Sunday’s game are CB Jamel Dean (hip), edge Hassan Reddick (ankle), RB Bucky Irving (shoulder), and guard Ben Bredeson (hamstring). Under the questionable designation are WR Chris Godwin (fibula), edge Markees Watts (hand), and CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring).
