What is the story about?

The Atlanta Braves have traded outfielder Eli White to the Boston Red Sox for right-handed pitcher Tyler Uberstine. The move comes just an hour before the 6PM Eastern deadline.

White’s role with Atlanta seemed in peril after the team traded for Lane Thomas several days ago. White head’s to Boston who has been active today making several notable deal.s

White had spent parts of four seasons with Atlanta. He’d appeared in 69 games this season with production almost identical to 2025. He had a .691 OPS

this season with the Braves.

Uberstine, 27, made his MLB debut this season with the Red Sox and pitched in only one game with Boston. MLB Pipeline had him as Boston’s 14th ranked prospect.
