Since Will Stein took over as head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats, the next question has been whether quarterback Cutter Boley would be back at Kentucky next season.
We now have that answer, as it was reported yesterday that Boley will enter the transfer portal. There had been some belief that Boley would ultimately opt for a return to Lexington for his redshirt sophomore season, but now Boley will explore his options and the Wildcats will begin exploring their options in the transfer portal.
On a
positive note, there are several talented quarterbacks in the transfer portal and with Stein’s success with quarterbacks at Oregon, Kentucky should be of interest to several of these quarterbacks.
The portal officially opens today, and things will soon be getting crazy. Kentucky will start hosting portal visitors, and we should probably expect Kentucky to bring in several players from the portal this offseason. We also likely haven’t seen the last of significant departures for Kentucky as well.
The Wildcats are expected to host LSU offensive tackles Tyree Adams and Ory Williams, along with Auburn OT Xavier Chaplin. Missouri WR Marquis Johnson and Arkansas LB Tavion Wallace are also expected to visit.
Keep your head on a swivel folks… portal season has arrived!
