Anthony Gordon has been chatting about life at Barcelona
and his new team-mates after making a bright start to life with Hansi Flick’s side. The England international joined the club in the summer from Newcastle and has settled in quickly, grabbing four assists already in La Liga.
He’s now revealed how he was blown away when facing Barcelona last season in the Champiojns League and revealed just how much he admires new team-mate Pedri.
“I had never faced anyone who could control the game like they did
in that match. And, to be honest, you had the two best players in the world in it. With Pedri and Frenkie de Jong,” he told RAC1.
“Pedri doesn’t stand out for his speed or physique. He’s not particularly big or strong. But he’s extraordinary. He has spectacular technical quality.”
Gordon also revealed how he’s also been impressed by the rest of squad, adding: “They are the best in the world in their positions and you would never think it when you meet them. Everyone is so humble.”
