Lead Rumor: WWE talent unhappy about Saudi Arabia trip
WWE, as of this writing, is moving forward with its plan to fly into Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to hold its Crown Jewel premium live event scheduled for Sat., Nov. 7, 2026. This despite the most recent security alert from the U.S. stating all non-emergency U.S. government employees are ordered to leave Saudi Arabia due to safety risks.
From the U.S. Embassy Riyadh
:Iranian-supported Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure
resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. The hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond that immediate area.
Fightful Select notes they have “heard from a number of staff and talent who aren’t happy about” WWE still planning to run the show in Riyadh. They remain in communication with their hosts, of course.
There is very little time for a change to be made, at this point, though there have been rumors of a backup location. For now, it looks like they are moving ahead, despite how anyone may feel about it.
