The Los Angeles Chargers are getting ready for their Week 4 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in the Pacific Northwest.
While most of the players are getting ready, a few members of the team will be on the inactive list.
Defensive back Derwin James (hamstring), quarterback DJ Uiagalelei (emergency third QB), offensive lineman Alex Harkey, offensive lineman Kayode Awosika (fibula), tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm), wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad) and defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson
(hamstring).
It’s unfortunate for the Chargers to be without Derwin James. This will hurt their secondary and defense quite a bit, opening the door for the Seahawks to take advantage. In lighter news, wide receiver Ladd McConkey will play despite dealing with a foot injury throughout the week.
Meanwhile, the inactives for the Seahawks are quarterback Jalen Milroe (emergency third QB), cornerback Avery Smith, defensive back Ty Okada, linebacker Chazz Surratt, wide receiver Montorie Foster, Jr., tight end Nick Kallerup and defensive lineman Brandon Pili.
It’s a big game for the Chargers, who are 0-3 to start the season. If they were to lose today, they would face an 0-4 start, which would put them in a major hole to start the year. If they were to make the playoffs, they would join only the 1992 Chargers as the only squad to lose their first four games and still make the postseason. That’s why this game is so important, and the Chargers have to take it as seriously as possible against the defending champions.
Kickoff between the Chargers and Seahawks is set for 1:25 a.m. PT inside Lumen Field. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on the Paramount Plus app.
