Ultimo Guerrero is stepping up to the plate. Claudio beat his hermanito chulo to win the title, and he already beat Ultimo Guerrero in the first
of five title defenses. Ultimo Guerrero wants another shot at revenge.
Even though Claudio’s original promo called for the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event, he accepted the title bout for this Friday, March 13 in Arena Mexico.
This world title bout was put together quickly, however, Ultimo Guerrero has a real shot at dethroning Claudio. Ultimo Guerrero is the star of the heavyweight division in CMLL. His two world heavyweight title reigns lasted 963 days and 1,074 days. CMLL might be in the mood for house cleaning this Spring. Mercedes Moné lost the CMLL women’s title to Persephone, and Claudio could suffer a similar fate very soon.
