Irish prospect and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Dylan Eagleson, 23, has officially aligned himself with Zuffa Boxing, as Sky Sports reports that he has penned a long-term deal with the new company while he’s anticipating making his professional debut on August 8, which will on Sky’s network.
“I’m buzzing to have signed with Zuffa, the biggest promotion in the game,” Eagleson said. “I accomplished a lot as an amateur and believe Zuffa will give me the tools necessary to become a champion. It means
a lot to have the backing of Dana White and Sky Sports as I begin this journey.”
Eagleson is considered one of the top amateurs in the region as he managed to win a number of regional amateur titles dating back to 2018.
In the meanwhile Zuffa continues to develop their roster of fighters as they seek to carve out their own place in the boxing landscape, which is supposedly set to have a focus on their own titles and tournaments, etc. Whether or not the company can see their vision come to fruition is yet to be realized, but company frontman Dana White insists the public will see the results of their work by the end of the year.
