Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund is thrilled with how Serge Gnabry has played so far this season and thinks that the rumors of the club wanting to sell the Germany international were overblown.
“Things always happen quickly. First, he was a potential candidate for sale in the media, now it’s about a contract extension. It’s a joy to watch him play at the moment, the most important thing is that he’s fit – we know what we have in him. He also has an outstanding character, which is also extremely
important. Our goal is for him to stay fit and continue playing like this, then we’ll all be very happy with him,” Freund said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Gnabry’s versatility could work to his favor. Able to play centrally and out-wide in the attack, Gnabry could be someone who finds a way to remain on the roster despite years of calls for his ouster.
