What is the story about?
We figured this was coming:
- Alejandro Kirk has been activated off the IL (my middle son’s favorite player).
- Davis Schneider has been recalled from Buffalo.
- Tyler Heineman was DFAed.
- Daulton Varsho to the IL.
Also, no surprise, Yariel Rodriguez has cleared waivers and is assigned to Buffalo.
Kirk is batting fourth today and Schneider is hitting eighth, playing left field.
Heineman could be taken off waivers, if there is anyone who is really hurting at backup catcher, but he is making $1,237,500 this year and I don’t know that anyone would want to pay him. I think, if someone would want to trade for his, they would want the Jays to pay some of that. But I’d expect him to clear
waivers.
We have the new, usual lineup vs a lefty starter.
