It’s Sunday, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! Mid-November is a slow time in the baseball world, as players and front offices throughout the league prepare
to dance throughout December and January. But despite the slow time, or perhaps because of it, this is the period where a lot of social gatherings happen throughout the league. What were the highlights from this week? Let’s get started!
Cap acknowledges his MVP
Days after celebrating his teammates for winning awards and receiving honors for their performance in 2025, Yankees captain Aaron Judge finally acknowledged the fact that he won AL MVP this week, posting several photos on Instagram with the caption, “2025-The job still isn’t finished. Excited to get back to work in front of the greatest fans in the world. Thank you for all the support along the way!” Perhaps unsurprisingly, several of his teammates and their families, both current (Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit) and former (Aaron Hicks, Tyler Wade, Juan Soto — although he appears to have deleted his comment, possibly after some articles were written about it), congratulated him on his success.
Tony and Tony catch a fight
Anthonies Volpe and Rizzo caught a UFC fight this week.
Cashman takes a nap
As he does every year, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman slept outside as part of Covenant House’s fundraiser to support New York youth facing homelessness. While he did speak to the media a bit about the team’s baseball moves during this time, frankly, this is not the time and place for it: no matter what you think of Cashman’s body of work as a general manager, he does put his money where his mouth is and use his position to highlight and raise money for important charitable work in this city. Just don’t ask him how to pronounce the word “meme.”
The Bullpen Catcher
Yankees bullpen catcher Peter Serruto posted some photos from his first year with the Yankees’ big league club.
Suzyn’s Busy Week
Suzyn Waldman had herself a busy week, as she posted photos from Joe Torre’s annual Safe at Home Gala, and then hit a pair of Broadawy shows.
