France’s mysterious blue-chip prospect Dave Fotsing made his long-awaited professional debut at Lions FC 12 this past weekend (Sat., May 1, 2026) — and wasted no time making an impression.
The towering Heavyweight needed just 46 seconds to dispatch Luis Carlos de Brito inside Patinoires du Littoral in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, scoring a highlight-reel knockout via head kick after marching his opponent down from the opening bell.

But there’s more than just size behind the hype.
The 22-year-old stands 6’5” and weighs around 275 pounds, and he’s also an accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with over a decade of training. That rare combination of size, skill, and athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect in a Heavyweight landscape that is in dire need of help.
Of course, it’s far too early to start projecting him into major promotions — especially with just one pro fight against a 6-12 opponent — but the upside is obvious. However, Gane himself made the jump to the UFC at just 3-0.
For now, Fotsing is firmly in the “one to watch” category — and if his debut is any indication, he won’t stay under the radar for long.
