With quarterback Sam Darnold (glute) sidelined, the Seattle Seahawks are expected to heavily rely on their dominant defense once again against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but they’ll be left shorthanded for the second consecutive game.

- S Nick Emmanwori (ankle, hip)
- OG Anthony Bradford (knee, hip)
The team has yet to disclose how or when Okada injured his hamstring, but after being sidelined from practice for the last two weeks, the level of concern should be starting to rise. Prior to last week’s season opener against the New England Patriots,
Seattle activated fellow safety Rodney Thomas II from the practice squad and signed AJ Finley to the active roster, so expect more action on their end.
Thomas II was instrumental in the Seahawks’ 13-10 comeback victory against the Patriots after he tipped Drake Maye’s deep shot intended for Romeo Doubs right into the hands of Nehemiah Pritchett for a momentum-altering interception at the beginning of the fourth quarter. He also recorded four total tackles, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him fill in once again.
While Finley did not play any snaps against New England, he could potentially see the field against the Cardinals if Emmanwori remains sidelined, which certainly seems plausible. After entering the week still working his way back from offseason ankle surgery, the second-year safety showed up with a hip injury on Wednesday’s injury report and given his value all over the field, it’d be difficult to picture the Seahawks rushing him back.
Emmanwori wasn’t the only play to unexpectedly suffer a hip injury, as Bradford seemingly did as well. The starting right guard was already nursing a knee injury before his hip issue popped up on Thursday’s injury report. Bradford was limited in the team’s Sept. 7 practice before returning in a full capacity the next two days, which subsequently led to him suiting up again New England.
However, now navigating through two injuries and not practicing on Friday, it appears he could be trending on the wrong side of questionable ahead of Sunday. Should he be sidelined, backup Christian Haynes would be in line to step in.
As for the Cardinals, cornerback Garrett Williams (achilles) was ruled out and OG Isaac Seumalo (shoulder), DT Roy Lopez (groin), OG Isaiah Adams (knee), DT Andrew Billings (knee) as well as CB Max Melton (ankle) are listed as questionable.
Both teams will release their official inactives at 11:55 AM P.T. on Sunday.
