The first edition of the 2025 Kentucky football depth chart has been released, and it has several notable developments.
The obvious one is Zach Calzada being named QB1, while Cutter Boley will serve as his backup.
The starting running back is listed as Dante Dowdell ‘or’ Seth McGowan. No surprise there, even though both were banged up in fall camp.
Former starting guard Jager Burton is officially the starting center, as he beat out Western Kentucky transfer Evan Wibberley.
The one notable surprise is that
starting safety Ty Bryant is listed as the primary punt returner. Bryant hasn’t really been a factor on special teams to this point in his college career, so it will be interesting to see how he handles these duties.
There’s an ‘or’ for all three starting wide receiver spots.
Finally, Jacob Kauwe is officially the primary kicker and kickoff specialist.
