Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …
A.J. Brown, Haason Reddick ‘Conspiracy Theory’ Addressed by Big Dom in New Eagles Rumors – B/R Philadelphia Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro insisted that Internet rumors over a beef between A.J. Brown and Haason Reddick are totally fabricated. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo relayed a conversation he had with “Big Dom” over the social media speculation. “He could not have been more adamant,” Garafolo said of DiSandro. “That story is complete
and utter bupkes.”
Eagles rumors: Fans allege A.J. Brown, Haason Reddick beefed over massage therapist, with Jalen Hurts twist – ClutchPoints
A new twist has surfaced in the drama surrounding A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts in the wake of the Philadelphia Eagles trading Brown to the New England Patriots, and it involves former Eagles star Haason Reddick. The theory originated from X, formerly Twitter, user Mansa Simba. The lengthy thread, which was made on Monday, June 1, 2026, has since gone viral. It claims that Brown’s discontent in the locker room dates back to 2023.
Saquon Barkley named to Time 100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026 – BGN
In its’ inaugural year, the Time100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026 list includes Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley among many prestigious names. Several NFL players were included in the list, including Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Myles Garrett, Fernando Mendoza, and even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell — notable was the absence of Jerry Jones or anyone from the Cowboys organization.
Eagles rookie NFL player comparisons: QB Cole Payton – PhillyVoice
As you can see in the above videos, Trubisky and Payton both threw with good touch to all three levels of the field, though Trubisky had better arm strength. Trubisky got wildly over-drafted at No. 2 overall. Payton probably got a little under-drafted in the fifth round.
The Teacher – Iggles Blitz
Mannion also impressed me by talking about meshing his scheme with things the Eagles already did. For all the frustrations with the offense, the basic scheme did get the Eagles to a pair of Super Bowls. Much of that was relying on superior talent, but you can still keep certain elements that the team did well. Mannion isn’t so in love with his scheme that he can’t keep an open mind and mix things in. That’s good coaching. Some people are worried because Mannion hasn’t called plays before. He explained that he’s practiced at it and is always thinking what he would do in a given situation. A lot of plays are decided on in the game-planning during the week so that guys aren’t going crazy on gameday. Andy Reid had little play-calling experience before joining the Eagles and he did okay. Mannion will have his ups and downs. All coaches do. The players seem to believe in him.
What’s it like to be a Cowboys fan? Plus: Why Russell Wilson is not a Hall of Fame quarterback – The Athletic
“Its like being a Jets or Browns fan, only even they feel bad for you.” — Jonathan M. Nobody expects the Jets or Browns to be good, meaning fans of those teams can hide from attention. Meanwhile, the mistakes of America’s Team are on full display at all times. Remember that since 2000, the Cowboys have the most regular-season wins among teams without any Super Bowls in that span. I’ll leave you with this from Meaghan: “Like riding a roller coaster you’ve been strapped onto for life — fun at first, hits the highs and lows, and then you’ve been on the same loop for so long that eventually, it feels more like a trip to Dante’s Inferno than an amusement park. But you can’t get off. And sometimes, if you’re lucky, you still get butterflies.” That said, the Cowboys defense sure does look better!
‘You have to adjust:’ Chris Kuper outlines his plans to replace Jeff Stoutland – NBCSP
“It’s kind of an outlier to have the same o-line coach for as long as Stout was here,” he said Monday in his first interview since he was hired four months ago. “And the appreciation that I think the league has for that man and what he’s done here, everybody’s accounted for that and spoke to that. “Replacing him, I’ve just got to be myself. I think in general, being in those chairs before as a player, I’ve gone through a lot more coaching changes than these guys have and the guys that I just left in Minnesota have gone through a lot more than I even did. So there’s an evolution to football where you have to be adaptable. You’re gonna have to adjust.” Kuper spent eight years playing for the Broncos before starting his coaching career. His most recent coaching stop was Minnesota, where he spent the last four years as o-line coach under Kevin O’Connell. He knows if Lane Johnson, Cam Jurgens, Landon Dickerson, Jordan Mailata and Tyler Steen don’t believe he can make them better players, this won’t work.
Top 6 picks of third round and Top 7 picks of fourth round remain unsigned – PFT
More than 90 percent of the players selected in the 2026 NFL draft have signed their rookie contracts. Among the players who remain unsigned, there are two big clusters, at the top of the third round and the top of the fourth round. The first six players drafted in the third round are still unsigned: Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck, Broncos defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim, Raiders defensive end Keyron Crawford, Eagles tackle Markel Bell, Bears tight end Sam Roush and 49ers edge rusher Romello Height. […] Bills General Manager Brandon Beane said on the team’s YouTube show that high third and fourth-round picks are encouraged by the players’ union to ask for contract provisions that the players in the previous round are getting.
Building the best NFL team money can buy under the 2026 salary cap – NFL.com
Cooper DeJean made this squad last summer as a super valuable rookie. Then he received his first career first-team All-Pro nod as a leader of the Eagles’ elite D. So, welcome back, Cooper.
James Develin faced the Eagles in Super Bowl LII. Now he’s selling smoothies to Birds fans down the Shore. – Inquirer
James Develin was raised in Gilbertsville, Pa., on the voice of Merrill Reese and the mystique of Brian Dawkins, “ Weapon X.” But in the wake of Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4, 2018, he felt sad. There was good reason for this. The fullback was in his sixth season with the New England Patriots. He’d won two Lombardi trophies, in the 2014 and 2016 seasons, and was eager to add a third. But the Eagles were a team possessed. They were dominant in the trenches. Bursts of offense came from unlikely contributors. Backup quarterback Nick Foles had the game of his life. Develin returned home a few days later to a barrage of clips from the Super Bowl parade. Hoagie shops started selling sandwiches called “Philly Special” and “Philly Philly.” Every Wawa had championship T-shirts on display. Develin couldn’t even get his coffee without being reminded of the worst loss of his career. “Losing that one … you were so close, and now you know exactly what the Eagles are enjoying,” Develin said. “And you’re home, watching them doing it, right outside your front door. Man, that was tough.”
3 position groups in the spotlight entering Patriots minicamp – Pats Pulpit
It’s only been a week, but A.J. Brown has been the headlining acquisition for the Patriots this offseason after New England and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a deal on June 1. The near-29-year-old practiced with the team one day later, on June 2, suiting up for four snaps in team drills and catching a pass from quarterback Drake Maye. One of the questions regarding Brown’s 2026 season is how he will be used in a Josh McDaniels-run offense. Last season, the veteran had his worst statistical season since 2021, hauling in 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns (15 games) with a career-low 12.9 yards per reception. Brown lined up on the outside in the Eagles’ offense on almost 86% of his season snaps, primarily as an X-receiver. He can line up in various spots as a Z-receiver, or perhaps in the slot, where McDaniels could use the receiver. As Brown’s usage in practice continues to ramp up, we’ll get a glimpse of what’s to come next season.
A second chance for this second-year Cowboys running back – Blogging The Boys
Before Blue even stepped on the field at training camp last year, the drama started. Leaked reports surfaced indicating that his work ethic was questionable. And soon to follow was an understanding that his new employers had some issues with him. Next thing we know, he’s inactive on gameday as we started hearing about his lack of consistency in practice. It wasn’t until the season finale that we finally got to see the elusiveness that was so well-advertised post-draft. So, what now for our boy Blue? The thing is, the Cowboys’ scouting department loved this guy. There were some leaked rumblings that Blue was viewed by the team’s as the third-best running back in his draft class. Yikes? He entered the NFL with super fresh legs thanks to sharing the Texas backfield with some true Longhorn studs like Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, and Jonathan Brooks. The potential is there, but how can the Cowboys find ways to make it work?
Washington Commanders staff has not lost confidence in Mike Sainristil – Hogs Haven
Despite many fans calling for reinforcements, including street free agent Rasul Douglas and former Quinn disciple Trevon Diggs, it looks like the staff is plenty comfortable going into the season with Sainristil (who has seen the most time on the outside during OTAs), Trey Amos, Roberston and Ahkello Witherspoon. There is also the belief that Jones will deploy a third safety as a slot corner in many defensive looks. This opens the door for a player like Quan Martin to return to the position he was drafted to play by the team back in 2023 and allowing him to play closer to the line of scrimmage, where he seems more comfortable. We’ve talked about this quite a bit over the last three months.
NY Giants injury news: Abdul Carter twists ankle, leaves practice – Big Blue View
The injuries seem to keep rolling in for the New York Giants. Edge defender Abdul Carter left the first practice of the Giants’ mandatory minicamp early with an ankle injury. Head coach John Harbaugh said after practice that Carter twisted his ankle and the injury “doesn’t look serious.” Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News initially reported that Carter had his shoe and sock off and was being examined by the Giants’ training staff. He then left the practice field and was walking “very gingerly”.
The NCAA can appeal Brendan Sorsby’s shocking reinstatement, but Texas law isn’t on their side – SB Nation
Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby has won a temporary injunction in his fight with the NCAA, and under the terms of the order issued by Judge Ken Curry in the District Court of Texas for Lubbock County, he is eligible to play for the Red Raiders during the 2026 season. Sorsby sought the injunction after the NCAA stripped the quarterback of his remaining collegiate eligibility due to multiple violations of the governing body’s gambling policy. However, there are some caveats to that statement. Several, in fact.
