The Eagles are still hoping to make on-field decisions for the next few weeks, but as the 2025 NFL season winds down, the front office and league in general are turning their attention to the NFL Draft.
The regular season is over and some of the trade terms are being finalized for deals done the past two years.
When the Eagles traded Bryce Huff to the San Francisco 49ers, the deal included a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with a condition for that pick to turn into a fourth-rounder if the pass rusher recorded eight sacks in the 2025 season — Huff only had four, which solidifies Philly’s pick in Round 5. (Though it’s unclear if the Eagles own their own fifth-round pick, San Fran’s fifth-round pick, or Atlanta’s fifth-round pick. They definitely own only one of those three in addition to a projected fifth-round compensatory pick.)
The team also learned that the draft pick they received from the Jets for Haason Reddick in 2024 will officially be a high third-rounder. The Jets ended up with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft order due to yet another disastrous season, which means the Eagles will get a selection in the mid-to-late 60s for Reddick — an edge rusher who only had one sack in 10 games for the Jets after he spent most of the year refusing to report to their facility.
A lot will likely change between now and draft weekend, but the Eagles currently hold eight picks … all in the first five rounds:
- 1st Round
- 2nd Round
- 3rd Round — from New York Jets
- 3rd Round — projected compensatory pick
- 4th Round
- 4th Round — projected compensatory pick
- 5th Round — if not Eagles’ pick, either from San Francisco 49ers or Atlanta Falcons
- 5th Round — projected compensatory pick
