Jill’s thoughts and prediction: The last time I looked at the women’s bracketology Nebraska (17-11; 6-11) was the last team in. Eeek. The ladies need a big win today and to make
some noise in the Big Ten Tournament if they want to dance. Rutgers (9-19; 1-16) is not a good team. They have struggled, averaging just 58.3 points per game, and allowed 68.6 points, including 76.5 in league contests. The Scarlet Knights are hitting 27.9 percent of their threes and 35.6 percent of its overall field goal attempts. They are outrebounded 40-32 in league play and carry a minus-3.1 turnover margin.
Prediction: Nebraska 78 Rutgers 64
Softball vs Oklahoma State – 2:00 CST
After the heartbreaker Friday, the softball team looks for some redemption against the Cowgirls. First pitch is at 2:00 pm (central) and you can watch on ESPN+
Baseball vs Auburn – 2:00 CST
If you didn’t watch last night’s extra-innings nailbiter, you missed out! What looked like an insurmountable Nebraska lead in the 10th inning came down to a one-run victory in which Auburn had the tying run on third base and winning run on second. Methinks the Tigers will be spitting nails and ready to reset the tone at their home park today.
You can watch on SECN+. I found the game last night by searching for Nebraska Auburn on Youtube. It was annoying that the intrusive ads popped up every few minutes during game action, but I kept my remote nearby and was good at the ‘skip’ button by the end of the four hour marathon.

Jarek’s Pre-tipoff thoughts:
The Huskers have certainly come out sluggish the past few games. Multiple bad 1st halves in a row have certainly put extra pressure on them. What has ultimately spared them is strong defensive performances. The other part is the second half usually means the offense wakes up and they share the ball way better. I feel like they play a little too isolated in the first half.
The Huskers last three games are all Quad 1 opportunities, so if they take care of business, they can possibly fight for a 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The smaller, yet more urgent fight is for a top 4 seed in the B1G Tournament. The Huskers currently sit as the 2 seed there and will guarantee themselves that if they win out. So, take care of what you can control, and it will be all right. Score Prediction: Nebraska 74 USC 70
