Hamza Abdelkarim is set to miss Barcelona’s clash with Real Betis on Saturday as he is expected to play for Juliano Belletti’s side this weekend instead.
There’s been debate at Barcelona over Abdelkarim’s role as he’s only managed 12 minutes of action for Hansi Flick’s side.
According to Jijantes and Mundo Deportivo, Abdelkarim did not train with the first-team on Friday and was with Barca Atletic instead.
He is now set to feature for Belletti’s side on Saturday against Utebo at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The striker’s presence should give Barca Atletic a further boost after what’s been a great start to the new campaign.
Belletti’s side are currently top of the table after six matches and are on a run of four straight wins.
Abdelkarim will be hoping he can help the team continue their winning streak as he enjoys some game time after spending most of the season so far on the bench with the first team.
