Jon Moxley has a new goal for the Death Riders. They want the CMLL World Trios Championship. Moxley has respect for lucha libre history, but he will burn it all down to get the gold. That task will be no small feat. The titles are currently held by Mistico, Mascara Dorada, and Neon, also known as the Sky Team.
Moxley will lead Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia into Arena Mexico to challenge for the CMLL trios belts at the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event on Friday, March 20. The Death Riders sent a promo
to issue the challenge. Confidence is riding high, because they are just that good.
The Sky Team earned their name as splendid high-flyers of the highest magnitude. Their trios reign stands at 300 days and counting. One of the the title defenses was over the Callis Family’s Hechicero, Kazuchika Okada, and Konosuke Takeshita on the AEW Full Gear pre-show last year.
The Sky Team accepted the challenge from the Death Riders, and CMLL made the title bout official.
