A German social media personality known simply as “Freddy” has taken the world (cup) by storm with his recent posts capturing his North American tour as FIFA’s global tournament unfolds. In the first week of June, he and a couple of friends embarked on a six-week adventure that would take them across the United States and Canada. After making a pit stop in New Orleans, the trio traveled north to Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s capital, where they were introduced to one of the largest brands the entirety
of the NCAA has to offer.
Freddy and his friends took in the sights on the campus of Louisiana State University. They saw stadiums, amphitheatres, statues, and even visited with Mike the Tiger.
Even in the absence of fans on a Saturday night, the tourists were in awe of Tiger Stadium. Freddy goes as far as to say that it’s the largest stadium he has ever been inside. LSU has one of the top ten largest stadiums in the world. Truly, the European mind cannot comprehend this.
Freddy and the gang ran into some other Europeans and were led on another facility tour, one that may be a little bit more to the Germans’ speed. They were also gifted some sweet LSU swag.
Before heading back on the road and departing Baton Rouge, the group of friends was treated to a “life-changing” meal at the first-ever Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers located right near the campus of LSU.
After a long journey and many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities in the great state of Louisiana, Freddy and his friends exited Sportsman’s Paradise and entered the Lone Star state as their journey across the country continued, all while cheering on their home nation of Germany to victory.
Have you followed along with Freddy’s travels? Do you think there is anything that the crew missed out on? Are there things that they need to come back and see? Let us know in the comments!
