The MRI on New York Giants’ quarterback Jaxson Dart’s left knee revealed an injury more severe than was believed on Monday night, per NFL insiders Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport. Dart could miss the remainder of the 2026 season.
Dart was injured on the Giants’ first drive of the game Monday night. While throwing a pass to tight end Theo Johnson, Dart was sandwiched between Los Angeles Rams’ defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart, with his left knee inverting awkwardly.
Dart limped off the field
under his own power, and was on the sideline in street clothes during the second half of the 28-6 loss to the Rams. The injury was initially believed to be a sprained MCL.
