It wasn’t pretty, but the Aggies escaped Fayetteville with a 45-42 win to remain undefeated and advance to 7-0 for the first time since 1994. Texas A&M will hope to remain undefeated as they hit the road
once again, this time heading to Baton Rouge to take on LSU. The Tigers suffered a loss to Vanderbilt in Nashville, 31-24, and hope to bounce back at home against the Aggies.
According to FanDuel, Texas A&M is a 3.5-point favorite for the contest. The over/under is set at 48.5 in spite of the Arkansas game turning into a shootout. The massive win over Clemson to start the season for LSU feels like ancient history after the offense of the Tigers has repeatedly struggled to gain traction against competition. The Aggies will hope to get their defense back on track against LSU.
LSU holds the lead in the all-time series with Texas A&M 32-24-3. While Texas A&M has found success at home against LSU in recent years, the Aggies have yet to win in Death Valley since joining the SEC. The last time Texas A&M did manage to knock off the Tigers in Baton Rouge? Like A&M’s last 7-0 start, that came back in 1994. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
