Maryland field hockey brought home a litany of hardware Wednesday, as the Big Ten announced that seven Terps earned all-conference honors.
Most notably, Jordyn Hollamon took home the Big Ten Freshman of
the Year award. She had a team-leading seven goals to go along with three assists. She was also named an All-Big Ten second team member. Alongside her on the All-Freshman team was Maia Adamson, who played and started in all 17 games.
Two Terps were named to the All-Big Ten first team: Annemijn Klijnhout and Josie Hollamon. Josie Hollamon tallied five goals and an assist, while also being a stellar defensive player, having been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 13.
Maci Bradford and Alyssa Klebasko both made the All-Big Ten second team. Bradford notched five goals and eight assists this season, leading the team with 18 points. Meanwhile, Klebasko racked up 58 saves and ranked second in the conference for goals against average (1.01).
Maddie Vasilios earned the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Award.
