AEW Dynamite airs tonight (Sept. 2) with a live show emanating from Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. This is the first episode of Dynamite during the four week build to All Out, which takes place on Sept. 26 in Chicago.
Tony Khan wants you to know that AEW has the best damn tag teams in the world
The New Level’s AEW debut was one of the biggest stories coming out of All In. Kofi and Austin Creed are already the AEW world trios champions, along with their partner Swerve Strickland. They will surely have other trios like The Dogs, The Demand, The Conglomeration,
and Bang Bang Gang hot on their trail. We’ll get a glimpse of what that competition looks like when Swerve and New Level have their first title defense tonight on Dynamite against The Rascalz.
But the New Level isn’t content with only holding one set of belts in AEW. One of the coolest scenes at All In played out after Adam Copeland and Christian Cage cheated to retain the AEW world tag team championship against the Young Bucks. Motor City Machine Guns, FTR, and New Level all joined the ring in the aftermath, along with the Bucks, leaving the legendary Cope & Cage surrounded by four of the other best damn tag teams of all-time. Tony Khan’s message was clear; AEW has by far the best tag team wrestling in the world, and all five of these incredible teams are ready to go to war over those belts. And what do you know, none of them have to take a 50% pay cut to perform at an elite level.
How will Khan decide which team gets the next shot at Copeland and Cage? Will a few more teams join the mix for a tournament? Is it a lock that New Level will soon be double champions in AEW? Do the Young Bucks go to the back of the line after losing at All In? Did Copeland see that Christian cheated to beat them? Tune into Dynamite tonight to hopefully find out some of these answers.

Mercedes Mone finally won the AEW women’s world championship at All In. She won’t let a broken nose ruin her championship celebration tonight on Dynamite. But will former champion Thekla try to crash the party instead?

– Darby Allin did the craziest Coffin Drop ever and won the TNT championship at All In. Considering how successful his weekly open challenges were earlier this year during his brief world title run, does Darby plan to do it all over again with this belt?
– Will Ospreay realized his dream by winning the AEW world championship in Wembley Stadium at All In. What does he have to say about it tonight on Dynamite, and which wrestler will confront him for a title match at the end of this month at All Out? Is Andrade ready to cash in his Casino Gauntlet contract to secure that championship match?
– Speaking of heels, it looks like Kenny Omega’s two week run as a heel is finished after he put over Ospreay in London. Is Kenny taking some time off after having one of the best matches of all-time at All In?
– Kazuchika Okada has the biggest shit-eating grin now that he is once again the AEW International champion. How will former champion Kyle Fletcher react when Don Callis tries to convince him to pursue a different title going forward?
– Jon Moxley beat an injured commentator to retain the AEW Continental championship at All In. Mox has had a death grip on that belt for all of 2026. Is there anyone left who can realistically take it from him before the Continental Classic tournament returns? How about someone like Tommaso Ciampa?
– Britt Baker is finally back in AEW! She is aligned with double champion Persephone, who now holds both the TBS championship and the CMLL world women’s title. Baker returned as a heel, but she’ll be a babyface at next week’s special “Rebel Heart” episode of Dynamite. Does that mean DMD will hold off on doing anything too despicable tonight?
– Are Divine Dominion looking for a rematch after dropping the AEW women’s world tag team championship to Brawling Birds at All In? If not, is Megan Bayne ready to pursue singles gold in AEW?
– MJF’s plan to win the Casino Gauntlet match blew up in his face. What will The OTC’s next scheme be for reclaiming the AEW world championship?
– Are most of the 573 members of the Don Callis family coming to beat the shit out of Sting’s son after Steven Borden helped screw Don’s family out of the TNT title?
– Hangman Page is in limbo again after losing the AEW world trios championship at All In. What does he have to say to Swerve Strickland about taking his belt?
