The Portland Trail Blazers’ slate of games this November may just be the Seventh Circle of Hell. That was one of my takeaways from Thursday when the NBA released the 2026-27 regular-season schedule for the Trail Blazers.
Portland’s 15 November games include two matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder, two matchups against the San Antonio Spurs, two matchups against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as games against the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Phoenix
Suns, Portland’s Play-In rival from last season. That strength of schedule is boosted by a six-game road trip from Nov. 13-23, tied for Portland’s longest trip of the season.
The November slate features 11 playoff teams from last season, including the reigning NBA champions, the reigning Western Conference champs and the 2025 NBA champs. It’s also high on star power, featuring names like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Brunson, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James, Tyrese Maxey, Devin Booker, Stephen Curry and more. The high-profile teams and names in quick succession will present a strong, early test for this new-look Blazers team and rookie head coach Micah Nori.
So, with all that laid out, today’s offseason discussion question asks you to call your shot: How many games will the Blazers win in November? Also, how many wins would be considered a big success? And how many wins would be considered an outright failure?
