Mike Tyson may not have been able to take out Jake Paul, but at least he got a good punch in on Mr. Beast.
Mr. Beast is normally the one making average people do Jackass-style stunts for a chance at some money, but there’s always a bigger fish. In this case it’s Saudi Arabia’s boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh. He lined up Mr. Beast to take a punch from Mike Tyson leading into the main card for Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford — we assume in the hopes it would draw in the younger demos.
“Tyson
is about to punch me, because thanks to Riyadh Season, Canelo vs. Crawford is about to happen,” Mr. Beast — whose real name is James Donaldson — said in the clip which has amassed 5 million views on TikTok alone. “It literally starts in an hour, so after this, you need to go watch it. To raise awareness, I’m gonna take a punch from Mike Tyson.”
Donaldson barely got the words “Whenever you’re ready” out of his mouth before Tyson gave him a sharp shot right in the belly. Even though “Iron Mike” didn’t hit him full bore, Mr. Beast still went down on his knees and could barely finish his ad read to watch the fight on Netflix.
How legit was the punch? It’s hard to tell considering nothing Mr. Beast does looks authentic. This is a guy who looked like he was faking his smile in engagement photos, after all.
We can hope is that Mike Tyson put a little extra pepper on his punch knowing this 27 year old kid could take it, and as payback for all the crap he makes everyone else do for money.
