Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have hosted several players from the 2026 class to date, as they continue to seek their first commitment in the class. Many of us thought it might be 5-star forward
Tyran Stokes after last week’s buzz.
Now, it could be a whole new player we were not expecting.
According to Joe Tipton of On3, 4-star center Josh Irving has cut his list down to three schools. That list features Kentucky alongside Louisville and Texas A&M. He also shared with Jacob Polacheck of KSR that he is hoping to make a decision next week.
Irving, a 6-10 and 200-pound center out of Pasadena (CA), is coming off a visit to Big Blue Madness this past weekend, which makes him shutting down his recruitment and canceling a visit to USC a potential good thing for the Cats.
But with visits made to Louisville and College Station already completed as well, it appears this one could go in any direction at the moment, with Texas A&M being the favorite for some time.
Ranked as the No. 51 player in the class of 2026, Irving is also considered a top-five center in the class according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.
