The rumours about Folarin Balogun’s transfer to Everton being at risk do have some substance to them, as the club identified an issue with the player following his medical at Finch Farm.

Everton have announced the transfer of Nathan Patterson to Torino in Italy.

Everton appear to have decided against making a move for defensive midfielder Mandela Keita.
19:10 – Balogun transfer under risk?
Well well, what’s this then? French sports outlet L’Equipe are saying that the Balogun transfer could fall through?
A twist in the Folarin Balogun saga. While he seemed very close to joining Everton, the 25-year-old striker could ultimately remain in Monaco.
Some sources claim that Everton needs to finalize Iliman Ndiaye’s transfer to Manchester City, a deal that is taking longer than expected to complete.
Nothing is ever simple with the Toffees is it?!

Everton announced the departure of Eli Campbell on loan, he’s going to MK Dons in League One.
18:20 – Beto departure confirmed
The Everton Twitter account has confirmed the transfer of Beto to Fiorentina.
18:00 – AMN medical done
Per Made in Foot (via SportWitness), Maitland-Niles has already had his medical in France.

Per The Bobble, Everton have made a low-cost bid for Ainsley Maitland-Niles at Lyon!
Other sources however seem to indicate that the deal is done and the player is traveling this afternoon to the UK for his medical with the Blues.

Fulham are abandoning their pursuit of Andrei Ratiu, and moving on to Sacha Boey of Bayern Munich.

German international winger Jamie Leweling has chosen to stay at VFB Stuttgart, despite the Blues’ big bid for him worth €43m including add-ons, with €35m guaranteed.
10:45 – Keane staying
Everton have told West Ham that Michael Keane is going nowhere.

Confirmation that Everton are not getting Kenny Tete from Fulham until they can sort out Andrei Ratiu from Rayo Vallecano [TeamTalk].

Everton’s name keeps popping up for some surprise players – Mandela Keita, a central defensive midfielder.

Right back options out there getting very, very thin. Newly-promoted Hull City have moved for Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy, another one of Everton’s fullback targets this summer.

Looks like Richarlison will not be returning to Merseyside after all.
8:05am – Patto has a new home!
Nathan Patterson is finally going to be free. The right back is heading to Torino for a medical today ahead of a permanent transfer, leaving Vitaliy Mykolenko as the sole specialist fullback in the entire squad. Shameful.
The transfer fee is in the seven digits as can be expected, but interestingly enough, Everton have been able to put in a 30% sell-on fee clause as well.

What To Expect
Late last night the status was that Iliman Ndiaye was heading to Manchester City, Beto to Fiorentina and Tim Iroegbunam to Hull City – those moves should all be confirmed today. There might yet be another outgoing, we’ll see – Nathan Patterson still needs a home, and West Ham want Michael Keane. A sale of Jake O’Brien has previously been mentioned too.
Jack Grealish was coming to the Blues on loan from City with a medical scheduled for this morning. Folarin Balogun should be good to go too with Everton and Monaco having reached a formal agreement yesterday evening.
Richarlison remains up in the air because a Turkish club had supposedly come in with a bigger bid for the player than Everton’s offer and Spurs could be leaning that way despite the Brazilian pleading to come back to Merseyside. Kenny Tete could fall through again because Fulham are being blocked in their bid to sign his replacement. Melvin Bard had been linked as a backup left back some time ago, but that front has been quiet.
There was a late bid last night for German international winger Jamie Leweling that was rejected by Stuttgart.
Everton will likely use up one of their two domestic loan slots with Grealish, but we haven’t heard anything else on any other players coming in on loan.

What time does the transfer window close?
The summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 11 p.m. UK (6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT), with an additional two hour period for clubs who have already submitted deal sheets in time. This is the more traditional closing time, after the last two summer windows shut at 7pm.
Spain’s La Liga’s window closes at midnight, with Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga and France’s Ligue 1 all at 8pm (all times UK). After the deadline no more incoming deals will be allowed, though sales of players to countries that still have transfer windows open is allowed.
