After weeks of conceding goals and now two straight Bundesliga matches of dropping points, Bayern Munich face a tough opponent in third-placed TSG Hoffenheim.
“They run a lot, they play an intense game, with many sprints and runs in behind,” Bayern defender Jonathan Tah said in a Sky Germany interview ahead of the match (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “They have a clear idea of what they want to do — it won’t be an easy game. Our aim is to come away with three points.”
Hoffenheim has quietly been one
of the surprises of the Bundesliga so far. And Bayern’s defense has just begun to sprung a leak or two, falling behind often at the start of 2026 and putting the attack under pressure. This would be a great time for the team to rise to the occasion.
Bayern’s slide already has rivals chirping. Six points is only two games…a loss and second-place (confirmed) Borussia Dortmund would be positively chomping at the bit. A win restores Bayern’s advantage over Hoffenheim to twelve points and likely eliminates any last hopes of a title challenge from TSG.
