A new midfielder has entered the block.
FC Bayern Frauen have signed tenacious midfield engine Bernadette Amani to bolster the midfield. The 28-year-old Ivory Coast captain makes the move from Spain’s Primera
División Femenina, having plied her trade for CD Tenerife Femenino and starting 12 of their 14 games this season, even registering a goal.
The midfielder has signed a contract till summer 2029, and her pace, stability, and reliable passing will no doubt strengthen the midfield and provide the squad with an excellent option in buildup and to initiate quick transitions. According to FC Bayern’s director of women’s football, Bianca Rech, “Bernadette is very open-minded, eager to learn, and shows a remarkable interest in developing herself further.”
The Frauen currently lead the Bundesliga by 6 points with 8 matchdays to go and an insane goal difference of 50(!!!) in just 14 games. Now that is absurd. They have also qualified directly for the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, in what feels like a historic season brewing.
