The second injury report for the Texas Longhorns prior to Saturday’s matchup against the Florida Gators featured an unusual amount of movement when it was released on Thursday evening, as three players
were upgraded and one player was downgraded following an important practice for the Longhorns to determine this weekend’s availability.
In the injury report mandated by the conference, Texas sophomore wide receiver Emmett Mosley was one of the three players upgraded from questionable to probable as CBS Sports reported that Mosley is expected to make his debut for the Longhorns after missing the first four games of the season with an injury sustained in preseason camp.
The other two players who went from questionable to probable are junior running back Quintrevion Wisner and and sophomore cornerback Kobe Black. Wisner hasn’t played since the season opener against Ohio State while Black missed the final non-conference game against Sam Houston with an undisclosed injury.
Trending in the opposite direction is junior cornerback Manny Muhammad, who played 22 snaps against the Bearkats before landing on the first injury report released on Wednesday. Initially listed as probable, Muhammad is now listed as doubtful.
The status of redshirt sophomore running back CJ Baxter and redshirt freshman safety Xavier Filsaime remain unchanged — Baxter is still doubtful and Filsaime is still probable. Baxter suffered a hamstring injury on the first play from scrimmage against UTEP and Filsaime missed the Sam Houston game with a shoulder injury.
