And then there were two. The World Series field was officially set on Monday night, following a thrilling baseball game to conclude the ALCS. Thanks to a three-run home run by George Springer in the seventh
inning, the Toronto Blue Jays completed their comeback (in both the game and in the series), winning 4-3 (in both the game and the series) over the Seattle Mariners.
With that, the World Series is set. There’s the team you better be rooting for, the Blue Jays, and the team you better not even think about rooting for, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Here’s the series schedule, for those wanting to keep track of things amid the chaos of the NBA season starting and the NFL year rolling on.
Game 1: Friday, October 24
Game 2: Saturday, October 25
Game 3: Monday, October 27
Game 4: Tuesday, October 28
Game 5: Wednesday, October 29 (if necessary)
Game 6: Friday, October 31 (if necessary)
Game 7: Saturday, November 1 (if necessary)
All of the games start at 5:00 p.m. PT and all are televised on FOX. Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 are at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, while Games 3, 4, and 5 are at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles.
And so begins the final series of the season. What are your predictions? I say Jays in two.
