Baseball is a funny sport. The San Francisco Giants play the Los Angeles Dodgers this afternoon in their series finale, and a win would result in a very successful series, while a loss would constitute an extremely disappointing one. There’s no in between!
Just as was the case for Friday’s win and Saturday’s loss, it’s a matchup of high-profile pitchers in the rubber match. For the Giants, it’s lefty Robbie Ray, who makes his 31st start of the season. The two-time All-Star is 11-6 with a 3.32 ERA,
a 3.77 FIP, and 176 strikeouts against 67 walks in 173.2 innings. He gave up two runs in five innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks his last time out.
For the Dodgers, it’s righty Tyler Glasnow, who makes his 16th start of the year. He has a 2-3 record, a 3.21 ERA, a 3.86 FIP, and 92 strikeouts against 34 walks in 75.2 innings. In his last outing, he gave up just one run in seven innings against the Colorado Rockies, with 11 strikeouts.
Enjoy the game, everyone. Go Giants! Beat LA!
