Summary: They say if you love someone you have to let them go, and if it’s meant to be they will eventually come back into your life. While attributed to many, there is no confirmed source for the original author of the full quote, so I’m just going to add to the mystery and mystique of it all and say the author was….Jeff Brohm.
In 2023 Ben Parry departed the Louisville football program after being a nice piece
of the defense for three seasons, including being the starting linebacker for all 13 games of the Cards ACC Championship game run. Whether it was a change of scenery, money talking, or other personal things, Perry decided to “move with his auntie and uncle in Bel-Air” heading out to Los Angeles to play for Mick Cronin and the UCLA Bruins. Unfortunately for Perry, one week into the season last year it was announced Perry had experienced a season ending injury and was starting rehab to get back up to speed. Fast forward through the next four months, where the Bruins limped to a 3-9 season under multiple coaches, and we hear in January that Ben is ready to run it back with the Cards, and eventually re-joined the program. As we sit today there is no injury designations on Perry and he appears to be back to as close to 100% as possible. With Watts returning for another year the STAR position is in good hands, but Perry could be a great backup in that spot, or slide over to help on the weakside if depth becomes an issue. Having a guy like Perry back who has the experience, knows the defense, and can easily merge back into the mix of it all is a great value. Let ‘em know folks….

Rock your body, yeah
Everybody, yeah
Rock your body right
Ben P is back, alright”
