Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Jets fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The New York Jets do not have a long-term solution at the quarterback position. The team traded for veteran signal caller Geno Smith early in the offseason hoping for some short-term stability. Smith, however, turns 36 years old during the season. He is at best a stopgap.
That leads
us to look to the NFL Draft. While the Jets own the second overall pick, there doesn’t appear to be a prospect worth selecting.
At this point the consensus number two quarterback appears to be Ty Simpson out of Alabama. Simpson could possibly be in play at pick 16 or even pick 33 for the Jets.
This week in our SB Nation Reacts survey, we ask whether you want the Jets to pick Simpson or not. Vote in our survey below, and we will bring you the results later in the week.
