The brand was only in New York City’s The Theater at Madison Square Garden for one night, but that night (Tues., Nov. 18) produced two episodes of television. The first aired/streamed live — you can read more about that here — and the second will air/stream next Tuesday (Nov. 25).
And that means SPOILERS!
Well, partial ones, anyway. We’ll let you know up front that, as we suspected, John Cena did not make his picks for Deadline’s Iron Survivor Challenges in front of the live crowd, so those will be
made in a different pre-taped segment edited into the material that was filmed last night in MSG’s Theater venue.
Four titles were up for grabs, with one changing hands and a vacant one finding a shoulder to rest on. Here’s more courtesy of spoiler reports from PWInsider and ProWrestling.net:
- Jackson Drake def. Sean Legacy via pinfall to retain the Evolve Men’s championship
- Kendal Grey def. Lainey Reid via pinfall to retain the Evolve Women’s championship
- Myles Borne def. Trick Williams via pinfall to qualify for the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge
- Lei Ying Lee def. Kelani Jordan (c) and Jordynne Grace to become the NEW TNA Knockouts champion. Grace was poised to win after powerbombing Jordan after about 10 minutes of action, but the former Xia Li threw the Juggernaut off and stole the pin. TNA president Carlos Silva and executive/booker Tommy Dreamer were in attendance.
- Fallon Henley def. Zaria in the finals of the tournament to crown a new WWE Women’s Speed champion. The match ended in a draw after the five minute time limit for Speed title matches, so NXT General Manager Ava sent it to overtime. There, Henley’s Fatal Influence mates Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid pulled Fallon out of the way of a Zaria spear. The Aussie crashed into the ring steps, setting Henley up to get the pinfall victory.
- Trick Williams was out to complain about his two losses at Gold Rush, calling out Borne. Myles sent Trick packing, which brought out DarkState to attack him. Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, and Leon Slater joined Borne to clear out the ring and stand tall to end the night.
Sound like a good way to spend your pre-Thanksgiving Tuesday (if you’re in the U.S.… I guess it’s just the last Tuesday in November for the rest of y’all)?
