The Feast or Fired match is about huge reward and huge risk. Three cases contain title shots. One case has the pink slip to get fired. Eric Young, Steve Maclin, Eddie Edwards, and Trey Miguel won the cases last week, and this week was big reveal on TNA Impact (Jan. 29, 2026).
When it was time, TNA was direct in the scene. Trey Miguel was first up, and his case had a shot at the TNA International Championship currently held by Stacks from NXT.
Eddie Edwards went second to reveal a shot at the TNA World
Championship held by Mike Santana.
Steve Maclin was third. Tension built. He opened the case to see the pink slip. Maclin is fired from TNA, and that means Eric Young has the shot for the X-Division Championship held by Leon Slater.
Maclin’s TNA career ends as a former world champion and a two-time international champion.
Maclin takes a spot in the infamous group of talent fired from Feast or Fired alongside Senshi (aka Low Ki), Curry Man, Sheik Abdul Bashir (aka Shawn Daivari), Chavo Guerrero, Velvet Sky, Grado, Ethan Carter III (aka EC3), and Yuya Uemura.
Maclin commented on social media.
Maclin’s stock should be solid for potential employment in AEW or a return to the WWE ecosystem. Maclin deserves a look from AEW based on his abilities alone, however, it might help to have his wife, Deonna Purrazzo, already on the roster. And hey, the Callis Family could always use more bodies.
Maclin (aka Steve Cutler) was released from WWE in 2021. He was primarily used in a tag team with Wesley Blake as the Forgotten Sons. Maclin thrived as a singles wrestler during his time in TNA. He could be a valuable asset as a veteran presence in NXT or WWE.
