Just five months ago, Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley went to war in London, England in what proved to be a violent Heavyweight title fight resulting in a late knockout win for Dubois to win the WBO strap (relive it again here
). Now, the two big men are set to run it back this Saturday(Oct. 17, 2026) in what is sure to be another entertaining affair onDAZN PPV.Before then, Dubois and Wardley took part in the final press conference earlier today (Oct. 15) in Manchester, England to talk a little smack
and take part in the ceremonial staredown, which you can see in the embedded video player above.
In the first fight, Wardely dropped Dubois twice and ultimately did not capitalize on either instance to get the win. This time around, he is adamant he will not make those same mistakes.
“Look, I think the one thing all of us on this top table can agree on, one, it’s not going the distance, and two, it’s probably over pretty quickly,” he said.
“Adjustments will be made, a more clinical performance will be done, and I will capitalize on the moments I had early on the fight the first time around. A knockdown in the first 10 seconds – I let that go a bit shy. A knockdown in the third round – I let him off the hook a bit easy there. But there’s no way this time. Once I sniff blood he’s gone. He’s getting out of there.”
