Now that Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all the others is that they’re
THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
BLG’S WEEK 6 POWER RANKINGS
– Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last Week: 4) – Working with his third different offensive coordinator since joining the Bucs in 2023 … and missing three of his top four wide receivers … Baker Mayfield had a big day in a big win over the Niners. Elite quarterbacks do more with less and Baker is earning that status this season.
– Detroit Lions (LW: 1) – Not too worried about the Lions. They lost a tough matchup on the road where their opponent clearly needed the win more than they did. They had been looking like the best team in the league, post-Week 1.
– Los Angeles Rams (LW: 6) – It wasn’t the flashiest effort but they took care of business against a currently bad Baltimore team. Puka Nacua’s injury is cause for concern moving forward.
– Indianapolis Colts (LW: 7) – Until the Colts give us reason to believe they’re not legit, I’m going to assume they’re pretty good.
– Seattle Seahawks (LW: 10) – I’d be inconsistent if I wasn’t showing the same kind of grace to the Seahawks that I am to the Colts. This is the No. 1 team in DVOA and the No. 2 team in point differential.
– Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 9) – The Chiefs might be back. That was a high quality win over the Lions. And now they’re getting Rashee Rice back. Seems like they’re figuring things out after a slow start.
– Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 2) – The Eagles got bullied by an inferior team last Thursday. The defense is starting to crack under the weight that an under-performing offense has forced them to carry. Nick Sirianni has helped the Eagles turn things around when their outlook looked bleak in the past. He must do it again here.
– Buffalo Bills (LW: 3) – The Bills have the weakest strength of victory (.125) of any multi-win team in the NFL. Getting blown out by Atlanta certainly wasn’t a good look.
– Green Bay Packers (LW: 8) – The Packers won but they haven’t really passed the eye test since Week 2. 40-year-old Joe Flacco looking good against them (again) isn’t a comforting development.
– San Francisco 49ers (LW: 5) – Perhaps the Niners’ myriad of injuries are finally too much to overcome.
– Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 11) – With a win on Thursday night, the Steelers will be 5-1. The other three AFC North teams will be 2-5, 1-5, and 1-5. Huge opportunity to really take control of their division.
– Denver Broncos (LW: 13) – It wasn’t pretty but the Broncos found a way to win, again. They have some fight to them.
– Washington Commanders (LW: 12) – The Commanders’ loss was more fluky than extremely troublesome but the damage has been done in terms of them dropping to 1-3 in conference games. And now Chicago and Atlanta own head-to-head tiebreakers over them, which hurts. Washington needs to avoid losing to Dallas or else they’ll be below .500.
– Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 16) – After a hot start to the season, the 2025 Bolts more similar to the 2024 Bolts. Will be pretty interesting to see how they fare against a hot Indy team.
– Atlanta Falcons (LW: 17) – The Falcons are weird. This team lost 30-0 to the Panthers and just blew out the Bills. High highs and low lows.
– New England Patriots (LW: 20) – Drake Maye being really good is pretty annoying. The Pats should’ve had to suffer longer with bad quarterback play.
– Dallas Cowboys (LW: 14) – The Cowboys’ defense is a disaster. Maybe they should trade for a high-profile edge rusher to help make it better?
– Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 15) – The Jags are solid but not actually good.
– Minnesota Vikings (LW: 19) – The Vikings return from their bye to host the Eagles. Big opportunity for them to show they’re legit. With a loss, they’re likely to finish Week 7 last in the NFC North.
– Chicago Bears (LW: 22) – Da Bears got revenge for their Hail Mary loss to Washington last year. And now they get to play the Saints.
– Carolina Panthers (LW: 23) – The most surprising stat you’ll see this week:
– Houston Texans (LW: 21) – The Texans return from their bye to play in Seattle. Tough test for them.
– Baltimore Ravens (LW: 18) – Hardest team to rank since they’ll obviously be better when Lamar Jackson is healthy. But real damage has already been done with Baltimore dropping to 1-5. Being 1-0 in the division still leaves the door open for hope.
– New York Giants (LW: 27) – The Giants had their most meaningful and exciting win since … their most recent Super Bowl title? Their fans must be having fun rooting for Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo.
– Arizona Cardinals (LW: 25) – Things are not going so well for Jonathan Gannon. That’s really too bad. And they might only get worse considering that Arizona has the NFL’s second-toughest remaining schedule.
– New Orleans Saints (LW: 26) – Bad and not really that interesting. Should be sellers ahead of the trade deadline.
– Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 29) – The Raiders found a team that’s worse than them.
– Cleveland Browns (LW: 28) – Shocking: the Browns aren’t very good.
– Tennessee Titans (LW: 24) – There are two NFL teams this season that each have more wins in six games this season than Brian Callahan had since the beginning of 2024. Safe to say he wasn’t a good replacement for Mike Vrabel.
– Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 30) – The Bengals looked more competitive with Joe Flacco at the helm. But what does that really matter in the bigger picture?
– Miami Dolphins (LW: 31) – The ultimate bad vibes team this year continues to struggle. With the Dolphins’ bye week approaching in early November, the most natural time to fire Mike McDaniel is coming up.
– New York Jets (LW: 32) – Don’t look know but the Jets do have three winnable games in a row. And yet it wouldn’t be shocking if they went 0-3 in those.
