The long-awaited and highly anticipated showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford is finally here. The two pound-for-pound greats will collide for the undisputed super Middleweight championship this Sat. night (Sept. 13, 2025) inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, in what’s being billed as the “Fight of the Century.”
Fans in “Sin City” don’t have to wait until fight night to soak in the atmosphere. In fact, there are five free public events scheduled throughout fight week:
Tues.,
Sept. 9: Grand Arrivals of Canelo and Crawford – Fontainebleau, South Lobby (5:30 pm)
Weds., Sept. 10: Open Workouts – Fontainebleau, Northwest Lobby (6 pm)
Thurs., Sept. 11: Press Conference featuring Canelo and Crawford – T-Mobile Arena (doors open 5 pm)
Fri., Sept. 12: Ceremonial Weigh-ins – T-Mobile Arena (doors open 5 pm)
Sat., Sept. 13: Fight Night – Allegiant Stadium (doors open 1 pm)
However, there are a few wrinkles worth noting. Canelo won’t be attending Wednesday’s media day for reporters. Even more surprising, neither Canelo nor Crawford will participate in the open workouts, leaving that showcase to the undercard fighters.
That means the spotlight on Wednesday will shine on names like Callum Walsh, Fernando Vargas Jr., Christian Mbilli, Lester Martinez, Mohammed Alakel, and John Ornelas, all of whom are expected to put on a show for fans.
Despite the absences, the buzz around Las Vegas is already reaching fever pitch. With two of boxing’s biggest stars finally set to collide, the week-long buildup promises to deliver the big-fight feel fans have been waiting for.
