Barcelona are currently making plans for the summer transfer window, particularly in regards to their frontline.
A new report from La Vanguardia says the club’s priority is to try and provide more support to Lamine Yamal after feeling he’s been left isolated in attack this season.
Julian Alvarez remains the club’s top attacking priority, with Robert Lewandowski expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
There are also doubts over Ferran Torres’ future, although the report
states that Barca want to keep him on “albeit below Julián Álvarez in status” and note how he’s a “much-loved player in the Barcelona dressing room.”
But there’s bad news for Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United man has posted some good numbers since arriving but the report adds Barca won’t keep him on as they have other priorities and are “unable to afford his wages.”
Indeed the word is instead that Barcelona would prefer to bring in Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis following his impressive performances since joining on loan in January.
Are Barca right to prioritise Cancelo over Rashford? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
