It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman has been named a Silver Slugger finalist for the second year in a row. Goodman won the award in 2025, and is looking to become the first Rockie to win back-to-back Sluggers since Trevor Story did in 2018 and 2019.
This nomination comes on the heels of Goodman’s monster 2026 that saw him hit 41 home runs — the first Rockie to hit 40+ homers since
Nolan Arenado in 2019 — and be named to the All-Star team for the second-straight year. He also hit .245 with a .839 OPS.
Goodman is up against Arizona Diamondbacks’ catcher Gabriel Moreno, who won the National League batting title with a .311 average and hit 16 home runs with a .874 OPS.
The winners are set to be announced on Tuesday, November 17.
