How many games will the Philadelphia Eagles win this season?
With the 2026 NFL schedule now known, I made my final record prediction and we asked you for yours.
Now it’s time for a different perspective on the same activity.
We tracked down writers who cover the teams of Philly’s 2026 opponents to see their week-by-week picks and how they had the Eagles games playing out.
Most of the following insight comes from our fellow SB Nation NFL communities but we had to outsource in a few cases where game-by-game
record predictions were not available.

Week 1 vs. Washington Commanders
“[The Commanders] start the season with two division road games, which is not ideal. The season opener is against the Philadelphia Eagles who won the division last season, but immediately flamed out in the playoffs. Washington opened up as 4.5-point underdogs for that game, but Week 1 games can be unpredictable with shortened preseasons and big changes every offseason.”
EAGLES WIN: 1-0
Week 2 at Tennessee Titans
“The Titans are better [than last year]. They’re not this much better. Prediction: Eagles 31, Titans 21.”
EAGLES WIN: 2-0
Week 3 at Chicago Bears
“I think they remember that [Black Friday] loss [from last year]. I think they come ready to play, I think they’re healthy. I think the defensive line really steps up for the Eagles. I think it’s our first taste of this season’s ‘we were the hunters, now we’re the hunted” type deal. Monday Night Football against the Eagles in Chicago, I just have that feeling, I think it’s going to be an L.”
EAGLES WIN: 3-0
Week 4 vs. Los Angeles Rams
“The Rams will have this game circled (again). They let last year slip away because of poor second half play by the defense and poor special teams play. This time their upgrades in the secondary, help them get the job done. Prediction: Rams win 28-21.”
EAGLES LOSE: 3-1
Week 5 at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)
“Trevor Lawrence has a chance to get his first win against the Eagles after losing to them by eight points in 2022 and by five points in 2024. Philadelphia has a new offensive coordinator for the fourth season in a row, will be without renowned offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland (retired), and is expected to trade star wideout A.J. Brown to New England in a few weeks. I’m not sure how much longer Howie Roseman and Vic Fangio can lift up Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni. Jaguars 34, Eagles 21.”
EAGLES LOSE: 3-2
Week 6 vs. Carolina Panthers
“Carolina gets a rematch from their promising 2024 loss and, with a greatly improved offense and defense, pull out the upset to improve to 3-2. Hope is in the air.”
EAGLES LOSE: 3-3
Week 7 vs. Dallas Cowboys
“The Eagles and Cowboys games will have some extra juice with Christian Parker taking over the defense and battling his mentor in Vic Fangio. The teams have been pretty evenly matched in the regular season over the past decade, homefield advantage carries the Eagles to victory. Cowboys lose: 4-3 record.”
EAGLES WIN: 4-3
Week 8 at Washington Commanders
“The Commanders return from the bye with another division game early in the season. They host the Eagles and get an opportunity to take them down after a rest week. Washington needs to split the series with Philly, and winning division games at home is critical to winning franchises.”
EAGLES LOSE: 4-4
Week 9 vs. New York Giants
“Can the Giants beat the Eagles in Philly? It’s definitely possible and will come down to how their offensive line plays with Stoutland U closed up. The Eagles could (will?) also be without A.J. Brown and his impact on defensive structure. Makai Lemon could be a real threat, but he doesn’t have the size or speed of Brown, and that could make running the ball much tougher. It’s also worth noting that John Harbaugh is 5-0 coming off of bye weeks over the last five seasons and he’s been stressing that the Giants are building to beat the Eagles. Pick – Giants (5-3)”
EAGLES LOSE: 4-5
Week 10 – Bye week
No game.
Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
“Here’s another historical stat: The Steelers haven’t won in Philadelphia since 1965. I don’t think anything changes here, as the Steelers run into what should still be a tough team in the trenches with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball.”
EAGLES WIN: 5-5
Week 12 at Dallas Cowboys
“By this time, playoff positioning in the NFC East could be on the line. A huge clash between rivals when things get very interesting. The Cowboys have lost twice to the Eagles at home on Thanksgiving… but not this year. Dallas is able to get their Bounty Bowl revenge and we all enjoy Thanksgiving. Cowboys win: 8-4 record.”
EAGLES LOSE: 5-6
Week 13 at Arizona Cardinals
“Loss. Cardinals get a late bye [in Week 14], are ready for it, and are ready to see what they have in Carson Beck after a 2-11 season with Brissett… Which I guess is double the win total of Brissett last year, so not terrible.”
EAGLES WIN: 6-6
Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts
“Philadelphia’s roster remains stacked, and even with the bye week, the Colts find themselves struggling at Lincoln Financial Field against a team that has been one of the NFC’s best since Nick Sirianni took over. Pick: Eagles 21, Colts 17.”
EAGLES WIN: 7-6
Week 15 vs. Seattle Seahawks
“This will be a skirmish between the last two Super Bowl champions, so this could easily go either way. Then again, the Seahawks have not lost to the Eagles since 2008 (and haven’t lost in Philly since 1989), so history leans pretty heavily in Seattle’s favor. It will likely be a close game, but the Seahawks have a good shot to leave Lincoln Financial Field in the W column. W (12-2)”
EAGLES LOSE: 7-7
Week 16 vs. Houston Texans
“This could be Houston’s toughest game of the season. The Eagles are among the NFL’s deepest teams, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. Playing on the road in Philadelphia will present a major challenge for Houston. Prediction/record: Loss, 11-4.”
EAGLES WIN: 8-7
Week 17 at San Francisco 49ers
“Man, the end of this schedule is brutal. The 49ers host the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the NFC Wild Card. Not much is going to change in this game either. The 49ers are going to get things right here and beat the Eagles. I imagine some playoff seeding may be in place by this point, which will add to the atmosphere. Plus, the Eagles can’t be none too happy about what happened last year and the 49ers punking them (again). This will be must-see TV. Regardless, the 49ers recover from their loss to KC and beat Philadelphia. Prediction: WIN. Record: 10-6.”
EAGLES LOSE: 8-8
Week 18 vs. New York Giants
“I have my doubts as to how well the Eagles will hold together without Jeff Stoutland coaching the offensive and with A.J. Brown — eventually — departing. Asking Saquon Barkley to create more yards for himself and shoulder more of the load could lead to injuries by the second week of 2027. It’d be foolish to expect any game in the NFC East to be “easy” and the Giants could be trying to return to prominence just as the NFC East returns to being the NFC BEAST and the best division in football. But I’m going pick the Giants to finally sweep the Eagles. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is for a ticket to the playoffs and perhaps even the NFC East title itself… Or if that “TBD” winds up being a primetime game. Pick – Giants (10-7).“

SOME THOUGHTS
- Guessing you didn’t expect to see the Eagles with a losing record. Of course, it’s not shocking to see these writers (most of which are fans of the teams they cover) take their favorite team to beat the Eagles. With few exceptions (such as the Cards SB Nation site predicting Arizona to win just four games), fans tend to be optimistic at this time of year and lean towards taking the over.
- The plurality of voters in this BGN community poll have the Eagles going 12-5. The majority of Eagles media personality predictions I’ve seen (including mine) have the Birds going 11-6. Opponent writers have the Eagles going 8-9. If we average out these three, we come out to 10.3 wins. That’s effectively the Eagles’ over/under win total at 10.5 games.
- Would be pretty surprising to see the Eagles start 3-0 only to finish with a losing record (barring major injuries, including one to Jalen Hurts).
- BCC thinks the Jags are going to decisively beat the Birds in London. That came as a surprise. Jacksonville is a regression candidate and they haven’t had an inspiring offseason.
- BBV predicting that the Giants will sweep the Eagles is very … bold. The G-Men haven’t done that since 2007. They’re also predicting the Giants to win a total of four division games, which is something New York hasn’t done since 2016. For context, the Giants have four division wins in the last three seasons combined.
