The Miami Dolphins are in search of a running back to add to their roster following the sudden retirement of undrafted free agent Le’Veon Moss just four days following his signing in Miami. Compounding that issue is the shoulder injury starting back De’Von Achane is still rehabbing from — meaning the Dolphins are short on bodies to tote the rock during offseason practices.
On Thursday, it was reported that the Dolphins worked out free agent running back Zamir White according to ESPN insider Jeremy
Fowler. White was a fourth-round selection of the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2022 NFL Draft and has spent his entire four-year career with the organization. During that time, he amassed 198 rushing attempts for 736 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. He’s added 25 receptions for 152 receiving yards and 0 scores.
White is a 5’11”, 227 lb bowling ball with the nickname “Zeus.” His former coach, Pete Carroll, has affectionately called him a “hammer” when it comes to his playing style.
Behind Achane, Miami has Jaylen Wright (5”10”, 208 lb) and Ollie Gordon II (6’2”, 227 lb). If White is signed, he would fit the mold of the physical, power back behind the electric Achane.
