The annual Money in the Bank PLE is coming up on Saturday (Oct. 10), so WWE posted a video this week ranking the 10 greatest Money in the Bank ladder match wins. Let’s see what they came up with.
- Liv Morgan (2022)
- Seth Rollins (2014)
- Big E (2021)
- IYO SKY (2023)
- Damian Priest (2023)
- Brock Lesnar (2019)
- Naomi (2025)
- CM Punk (2008)
- Carmella (2017)
- The Miz (2010)
Notice that only three entries on the list come from before 2017, and all three of those stars (Punk, Miz, Rollins) are still currently competing in WWE.
On the latest episode of his 1 Of A Kind With RVD podcast, Rob Van Dam was told by his co-host Dominic DeAngelo that he and Edge were somehow snubbed by WWE
and didn’t make the cut for the 10 greatest Money in the Bank cash-ins of all-time. The WWE Hall of Famer reacted by saying “Not even in the top 10, huh?”
They talked about how he cashed in the contract against John Cena at ECW One Night Stand. RVD then waved his hand in front of his face like Cena while explaining the snub: “I think the problem is they can’t see me. Must be.” They also mentioned that Edge being in AEW right now has to be why he was left out.
RVD’s reaction is making the rounds on the internet, so I want to chime in to point out that his co-host actually screwed up and gave him bad information. He told RVD it was a top 10 list of MITB cash-ins, but the video has nothing to do with actually cashing in the contract. It’s only about the ladder match victories, two more of which are coming this weekend.
That still doesn’t explain why Brock Lesnar’s win made the list. It’s one of the most absurd and illogical wins in history, and made Mustafa Ali look like the biggest geek on the roster. I guess WWE just can’t get enough of The Beast, even when he is retired (until SaudiMania?).
Should RVD and Edge be ranked somewhere on WWE’s list of the 10 greatest Money in the Bank ladder match wins in history? Who are the biggest snubs that stand out to you? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
